Ali Kishiyama of Mayama has created a high intensity, low impact class that focuses on sculpting and elongating muscles, strengthening the core and raising the heart rate for a complete body work out experience. Students are led through a series of exercises at the ballet barre, on the dance floor, and on the mat that are designed to trim, tighten and tone the body. Barre Body exercises use isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. This class is high paced and powerful. The efficient use of bodyweight exercises delivers a dynamic toning class that works fast and delivers. All of the movements can be modified for intensity and reps to offer each individual person space to listen to their body and choose the level that is right for them.

Ali's gettin'-after-it attitude, body knowledge and humor paired with great music makes this class fly by while also delivering a solid workout.
